With seas rising, global heat records falling, and storms becoming more and more devastating, the reality of climate change has never been clearer. But with clean energy solutions like wind and solar getting more affordable, batteries getting better, and buildings becoming more efficient every year, the way forward is also clear.

The Climate Reality Project, founded by former Vice-President Al Gore, is working to accelerate the global shift from the dirty fossil fuels driving climate change to renewables so we can power our lives and economies without destroying our planet.

gary_white 150pxGary White is a climate activist who was trained by Al Gore and his Climate Reality Project. Gary’s role is to inform and educate people living in the Bay Area in Northern California about climate change – its effects and solutions – using an updated version of the slideshow used in the film An Inconvenient Truth. Mr. White has given over 160 presentations to over 9,000 people to date. He is also a leader of Citizens Climate Lobby.

Currently retired, Mr. White spent nearly 30 years as a Human Resources Executive in the Silicon Valley with Apple, Intuit, and Palm. In addition to HR, Mr. White took on responsibility for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at his workplaces over the past 15 years.
