Candlelight Vigil: Laurelwood Shopping Center, 1324West Hillsdale Blvd. (just east of Rt. 92)
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Candles will be provided; you can also bring your own. Bring signs calling for an end to the occupation of Iraq and wear your Iraq Moratorium "Troops Home Now" tee-shirt if you have one.
Since Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, some timely messages might be "Honor Dr. King's Vision: End the War," or a King quote such as "I consider war an evil," "War is an enemy of the poor," "It is necessary to love peace and sacrifice for it," or "The choice is between nonviolence or nonexistence."

Dance for Peace at the corner of Fremont and Mary Streets

Music and some signs will be supplied. Bring family, friends, lights, and your own personalized signs. Children are especially welcome. Peace, it's for our kids.

Up and down the Peninsula: OPERATION CALTRAIN

There's more you can do! We will be leafletting at Caltrain stations during the morning commute for the fifth month in a row, asking commuters to take the Moratorium pledge and take action against the war. The effort requires at least two people per station to distribute leaflets and black ribbons between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

Not available on Friday morning? You can also leaflet at your local farmer's market or downtown shopping area on weekends; the Iraq Moratorium project is trying to get the word out as widely as possible, anywhen we can.
